Are mini carpets reef safe? I got a local reefer offering me them for a pretty good price. I was worried the fish that normally hang out at the rocks might become lunch (yellow watchman and scooter blenny).
I don't think mini nems will be able to eat any fish larger than themself so that list is pretty limited! Mini carpets are so small so I don't think there is any issue. If you have a pico tank then the goby might be angry that his roosting spot is taken but I don't think they will eat any of your fish.
Mine is a little bigger than a quarter but he acts just like a full size carpet. its fun to watch him engulf his food (small shrimp chunk or silverside piece) without the worry of your tank fish getting eaten
Sticholodactyla tapetum are true Carpet Anemone so if a small fish like a Clown Goby or Neon Goby makes a mistake there is a good chance they will be consumed. If a large fish gets stuck it would be very unpleasant for the fish but the Anemone will eventually let go.
