I was going to buy the stuff until I witnessed their false advertising. They had a before and after photo, and the after photo had corals in it that were not even in the before photo. :p

I'm glad you are pleased with the product.....but it should be noted that a few searchs on-line will provide a lot of negative comments and experiences about the "mud".....not to rain on your parade but it seems its not as amazing as they claim it to be.

Most reviews I've seen compare it to silt....and nothing special about it.Possibly you are seeing benefits from the refugium....additional water volume.....who knows....but many very experienced hobbyists don't have a high opinion of the product or their claims of success.

I have noticed that anytime I change bulbs, do a good size water change, run carbon or like recently after adding a CPR sump/skimmer the corals will open up really big for a day or two and then calm back down. I am not sure what causes it but I assume that it is just the change that causes them to over extend and then return to normal. If it's cloudy for a few days then the corals will look different for a day or so and then when the sun comes back out the corals will look different again for a day or two.

:notsure:
I didnt say to use it.
But I will say that I do use it, mixed half and half with sand in my fuge.
And I dont think it hurts. Alls well in my reef.
But Im not a very experienced hobbiest.

It was on the back of the plastic cover of this month's issue of Coral magazine. The ad is probably inside the issue as well.
