Missing serpent star

OK, I got a black serpent last week...as soon as it went in the tank it slithered under a rock...I have not seen it since...day or night...
I read they often stay in the rocks...what I am wondering is...DO they ever come out????

if u put food in the tank at night, it should come out.

anything inparticular? I don't feed at night, but I'd like to know if it is still in there alive or not.

they r nocturnal animal for the most part. put a piece of krill on the sandbed.

i hv a black brittle in my fowlr. it doesnt come out except night time.

Hi,
I have moon lights to see my nightime creatures. I place a small chunk of raw shrimp into the tank right at lights out. Once every two weeks.
My serpents stars go right for it.

Mine makes a very short appearance at feeding time, then retreats back under the rock work. Try a small piece of silverside near him. That should bring him out
