This sounds like something I would do. In fact, I think that I will post a warning sign under the lid of my canopy to remind me and my wife of this each time it is opened! Very Sorrry for your losses. Very hard way to learn. :nope:
dear, fish junkies!! i at this time have givien up on my hobbie in salt fish!! i worked on it for 8 months and i killed at least 7 fish!! or they killed themselves. i spent countless hours and money to keep it going, but it was just to much for me at this time. i need to ask a question to you all! is fresh water just as difficult keeping the fish alive???? i know thier not a beautiful. but just keeping one in for at least a couple of months would sooth my mind. thanks to you all for all the info that you have givin me!! fulofcharm
Sorry to hear about your loss. It is a very rewarding hobby if everything goes right but even with freshwater we have our bouts too. I have kept and bred many freshwater fish for over 20 years and would be happy to help you out. Since this is a saltwater forum I don't want to take up their space talking about freshwater fish, please email me and I would be glad to help you.

fresh water is easier and cheaper, but you don't get the vast colorations of fish.
