I think it says 15 ml + 1/2 tsp kalk + 1 quart, so 60ml + 2 tsp kalk + 1 gal of RO
It should be teaspoones, not tablespoones!!!
I am currently using just 20 ml with 1.5 teaspoons of Ball's pickling lime to one gallon of water. It does not quite disolve all the kalk, but does help. I'm not quite comfortable dumping 60 ml of distilled white vinegar in my tank yet until I see if my algae increases. I have read that acetate can cause algae problems but so far all seems pretty normal after one week. No more and no less in the algae department.
Hi all, I am still working on the Kalwasser drip stuff. While reading Google's on the subject I found and read many lnks on the "white vinegar" issues, thought maybe it was worth bringing back up. These postings dates way back................... Warren
It looks like using the Vinegar is the way to fly.
Just thought that this maybe a good thing to bring back up??
My PH has been creeping up to nearly 8.5, using just the Kalk water. looks like the Vinegar in the Kalk water is the best. Also keeping the PH from going too high.
Just too many things to learn for an old brain damaged guy like me!! LOL Warren
