I am sure there are fans in other states....YES MONSINOUR....OTHER STATES...that are just as obnoxious
Not that you like football but here are a few stories to get you all riled up:
@ Penn State not too long ago a few OSU fans decided to park away from the stadium and walk to the game. Unfortuantly they chose to walk behind fraternity row. There is a youtube video (if it hasnt been taken down yet) that was shot by the moronic nitny lamers of them throwing beer bottles, cans, sticks and stones at these poor fellows walking to the game. Needless to say, the fraterity that finally accepted responsibility for it was placed on double secret probation. Yes basically nothing really happened to them.
@ Wisky a little longer ago during another OSU game the Wisky band had premade lots and lots of "pee bags" for the sole purpose of tossing at the team and fans from OSU. Yes "pee bags" are exactly what you are thinking. The band was suspended from 2 games that season and not too long ago the band got too drunk for its own good and was suspended from the bowl game and the following seasons first road game.
We all know what Philly fans are capable of, poor santa claus. And have you seen footage of the Patriot fans during that snow playoff game against the raiders? There were quite a few raider fans there that left the game with welts from snow/ice balls being thrown at them. Am I suprised that a few Brooklynites got too drunk for their own good and spat on someone? No. The better question is once they found out who it was, did they continue to spit? My guess is yes as drunk idiots are the same no matter where they are.
Personal experience? OK I got one. I lived in Knoxville TN for a while and they had an ECHL team there that finally made the playoffs after a long time of sucking. Their first round opponent? The Toledo Storm. So yea, there was no way I wasnt going to see that game. I paid good money to get seats on the ice next to where the Storm would come on and off the ice during the intermission. Needless to say, the Storm won the only game played in Knoxville (game 3 of a best of 5 that toledo won the first 2) and I was cheering my head off yelling and screaming for the storm. At the end of the game, when the Chiefs' were down a goal and had pulled their goalie, the storm scored an empty netter. I of course celebrated heavily with my 1st wife next to me. We were estatic with our storm gear on and all. Then out of no where, I got all wet from above. I look to see a 60 something old lady (I say old cuz of the purple hair. I know 60 aint old, but whats with the purple hair?) shaking her beer glass over my head. The Rink side seats were about 10 below the normal seats. You have to see Knoxville Civic Center to understand how it works. I choose to stay calm and contimue to celebrate while walking over to the usher. He obviously does nothing (it was the end of the game). So as the storm make their way off the ice, I stick my hand out to high-five as many of the players as I can. The captain of the team at the time handed me the game puck! It was worth the warm beer on my head to celebrate the Storm's victory! And yes, I still have that puck.
Edit: I forgot to include the ohio idiots. At the 2004 game against meatchicken, some really moronic OSU fans decided to heckle Llllllyod (6 L's for his losses to OSU, LOL) Carr when he got off the bus before the game. It got really really bad. SO bad that the following game that was played in C-Bus, Llllllyod asked for extra security to walk into the stadium. He got it and this time the OSU fans didnt heckle him at all. They actually formed a barrior to assist the state troopers to escort Llllllyod into the stadium. I am sure there are other times when some OSU fans have been moronic and I know it happens everywhere. You take the good with the bad.
For me, I have seen more bad than good since moving to this god forsaken sh!t hole 7 years ago.
