I agree, I am glad to help answer any question that I have a answer too, but what is annoying to me is when everyone keeps telling the person the facts and they refuse to understand or accept it and they think they are smarter than everyone else.

I'm still wondering why people are so obsessed with coralline algae. I guess I'm lucky and taking it for granted but I can't get it to stop growing, on my glass that is.

Any question that is misspelled (because of stupidity and not done for effect)
And of course; can I keep a tang (commonly misspelled to read tank not tang) in a 30 gallon?

One of the reasons I don't ask more detailed and technical questions is because I have spelling /memory problems due to a broken neck and massive head trauma from an accident 2 years ago, neurologist told me nothing I can do about it. It's such an obvious putdown and it really irritates me when some of the experienced and not-so experienced cames across as "Better Than" because of the way someone asks a question. I really wish I was one of those gifted people who Popped out of the womb with infinite knowledge. The quest for bettering yourself is not determined by how you ask the questions, but what you do with the answers.

why are my nitrates high?
there are only two answers:
1.your maintenence for what you have sucks (wether it be equipment you chose to use or bioload you chose to maintain).
2. your filtration for what you have sucks (mechanical and/or bio).
I dont think people would like that response though

I usually just assumed it was a kid asking when the spelling was bad, or the person was typing too fast and doesn't look up at what they are writing.
You have been gifted to look beyond the surface and see what something is for what it is...something I still struggle with. Thanks for reminding me what an -$$hole I am.

1911 what part of AK are you in? I spent many years there. Kinda cool watching "deadliest Job" I've been to Akutan, Whitehorse, Deadhorse, Dutch Harbor (that place stinks!) I worked for the Native Hospital and we had to fly out in little Cesna plans once a week and visit each village once a year, what an experience that was.

I think the most annoying question is one where someone has already gotten a coral, anemone or fish and then come here and ask how to take care of it. Can we say too late!

That was a common newbie mistake of mine.

Luckily I've learned since then!

the most annoying question which seams to be the most popular question is why are my fish sick im feeding them brine shrimp every couple of days and maybe a sheet of nori

why do people spend so much money on a fish then neglect what it needs because it cost too much.I look at it this way if you want to keep fish cheep then buy cheep fish
if you dont want to spend the money to feed it properly then dont buy it..

What is starting to really annoy me is when people state "my levels are good". Define good! What are your EXACT levels?????
