Each of those bands are considered among the best bands of THEIR time. I think its important not to judge yesterdays bands by todays standards. Unless we are going to throw Justin Timberlake under the bus...which I'm all for!

I think you may have that backwards, you cant judge todays music by yesterdays standards. Music had so much more meaning than todays stuff. Too much of todays music is written to make money. IMHO music of yesterday had a lot more depth and meaning to it. of course there are exceptions to every rule.
but anyhow... my vote for most overrated band ever... dave matthews band.

totally agree with you on fall out boy, used to be huge fan, was actually at their first few concerts as a band in chicago and yes they were suite then but now it is just frustrating. MTV has done everything to destroy music as i know it. that idiot was on One Tree Hill like all the time, i shouldnt really know that but my gf makes me watch sometimes, rather carve my eyes out with a wooden spoon, and i was lookin at magazines the other day and fall out boy was on those stupid teenie magazines WOW can you say sell outs.
But have to give props to my most fav bands of all time for not sellin out big time but are popular enough to make me sick, The Used and Bayside
And by the way Nickelback is the most overrated band ever, listen to their songs back to back and you will see that all there songs are the same!!! how has no one noticed this i mean come on!!!!

and cj7eagle, i don't see how you get into depth, and then flame dave.
if you want to hear depth... he's the first name that comes to mind.

Bayside rocks my socks off for sure!! they are the best band hands down you are seriously the only person outside of my friends that knows them! have you been to one of their shows?... Thursday is my other favorite
I'm sad about fall out boy. When I first saw them on MTV...i was like greeeaaat they have been brain washed! it's all about the money now.

Wow... all the U2 hate... only rock concert I ever went to was the Achtung tour. Was always a fan of theirs.
Most overated to me would be either Kiss or the Beatles. Don't get me wrong, I agree with a lot of you who have listed other bands, but for the "overrated" term I'm going with a band that has been around for a long time, everyone knows them, and they still stink.

Master Of Puppets was the last good thing..A few songs from Ride the lightning, a few from AJFO, and 2 off of black...MOP was a good all-round album....Anyways I am into real metal..

for sure ive seen them3 times in chi once in minn and once in new york, i am seeing them again March 3 2 days away from my 22nd bday, gonna be pretty suite, have you seen them live? but ya they are my fav band of all time and i cant wait for their new cd in feb. sucks about beatz tho. but i love the song winter. he was pretty cool from the little bit of talkin to him at a show 2 years ago. you should see my entrance to my house i have 20 foot bayside emblem painted on the wall, fav part of my house including my 260gal and 46gal reefs.

i would but one of my friends thought my camera would look good at the bottom of lake minnetonka a couple weeks ago so i cant right now and i pushed that back on my need to get list cuz i just got a 12 aquapod today so once i get a new camera i will post some picks of my 260g custom and 46bow reefs and hopefully a progressing nano. ill show you my new and first tatoos too i have a little bayside symbol on each elbow, very small doesnt cover whole elbow.
ya if you havent seen them you need to, anthony has one of the best voices in music

i live on my own stepping over people that seem to always be crashing at my house, i am an arborist but dont really need to work, do it to keep busy and i like dealing with trees landscaping and flowers and such, plus it pays my property taxes (which are not even cool) because my house is paid off
