to those of you that have given me tons of advice in the past .. it's really helped
I had to move my tank home from the office on Saturday. The fish handled the trip relatively well and I only lost 9 gallons in transport... totally amazing.
However, the tank was filthy upon refilling & stirred up.. I didn't want to do a water change right away, so I let everything settle. The fish were fine and happy.
This morning the fish are not too happy. The tangs are gilling pretty bad, then the clown, and the Angel a little bit. The PJ cardinal is unaffected. I caught a glimpse of my 6 line as he happily darted in and out of the new rock set up - looked like he may be gilling a little.
So, tonight I did a 10 gallon water change (all I had) and will do a larger one either tomorrow or friday. Since I did the change, I didn't want to test the water right away. Will do that in the morning. I did a 20% change 5 days prior to moving the tank and do them regularly at 20% each time - sometimes 25%. I keep sg at 1.025
All fish are eating normally. This morning they took a long time to "wake up." The clown was resting on a live rock and looked like a statue. That started my concern.
So, any advice as to what I should be looking at first? Thinking maybe I should do the carbon dioxide test?
I think my digital temp is broken. I think it's been reading high. However, right now it is reading 80.2 Corals all look great, too.
thanks ahead of time

Have you tested your ammonia and stuff....seems like you probably stirred stuff up...you probably need to do a good water change

just did the 10gallons tonight (since the store is closed) and will do a 20%
I treated for Ammonia and nitrate on Sunday as a precaution. Will test the ammonia and everything else in the morning.

When you moved the tank, you probably stirred up a lot of sand, etc. Normally when you move a tank, it causes a little "mini cycle" like action in the tank. It's going to cause spikes, you need to test for ammonia, nitrites and nitrates and do some big water changes quickly or more than likely you're going to loose you fish.
