6 weeks or so into the new 300 gallon running and the only issues I am encountering is some brown hair/stringy algae, not sure what is causing this but I have bulk reef supply high capacity GFO and carbon running in reactors and I'm two weeks into running bio pellets in a reactor,I have no macro algae in my sump, just live rock and a super reef octopus skimmer that pulls tons of gunk. I'm happy with that skimmer,my tunze topoff seems to be keeping up so far, although at some point I would like to switch it to the optional switched outlet and bigger pump.all my livestock is doing great including corals. I incorporated one of my ecoexotic panorama marines leds and two magenta/blues to supplement my metal halides. It works great for the actinic glow moonlight effect.especiallyafter the halides switch off. I'm also running a emperor aquatics uv sterilizer fed off my return pump. The only thing I want to stabilize more is temp fluctuations,so far I only hit 82 degrees but I don't like fluctuating between 78 and 82 I put a tunze fan in the canopy. If that doesn't seem to do much I may consider a chiller. Other than that I seem to be doing okay. I am doing 50 to 55 gallon water changes every two weeks. This is pretty automated,no buckets to carry. Very happy. Also running a kalk reactor that I have my tunze topoff run through. The tunze topoff has a timeout feature if the pump runs too long so I'm really not too concerned with a dump of kalk or anything. I think I probably topoff about 5 gallons a day. I need to measure it but I run it from a 50 gallon topoff container. Hopefully I get some more pics up of my corals and fish. I am noticing some coralline algae starting to form. Hope to beat the other algae problems.

Sounds good.... the only thing I could suggest or mention is the efficiency of the UV sterilizer. Is the flow rate correct running through the UV sterilizer.
