I bought a small purple mushroom coral from my lfs and when i put it in my tank it fell off the rock i put it on and onto the sand. It attached itself to some of the rocky substrate in my tank and wont attach to anything else. It opens everyday and has even gotten bigger and looks to be doing good the only problem is it will not stick to any rocks because it is alrdy attached to substrate. I was just wondering if there was any tips to get them to unattach or to move. Thanks

You can glue the substrate the mushroom has attached to to the rock you want it on
you can use superglue gel, or aqua epoxy to do this

ya i had the same issue, i just used the gel super glue to glue the substrate to the rock i wanted the shroom on!! works great

Put on latex or nitrile gloves. Pull the rock you want to attach the shroom to out and dry it off where you want to attach the shroom. Remove the shroom and daub the substrate it is attached to with a paper towel to dry it a little. Place it on one of your nice saucers from the kitchen cabinet. Apply a pencil eraser sized dab of super glue gel to the rock and place it on a paper plate. Pick up the rock and the shroom. Place the shroom on the rock, attaching the substrate it's holding onto to the dab of superglue. (keep your fingers out of the glue
) Using both hands, dip it in your tank to "set" the glue. Water forces the superglue to set. You may now glue this rock anywhere you like.
Tomorrow the shroom will have let go because it didn't like where you placed it.

Begin the process all over again.
