yea thats pretty cool i know i wanna a sun coral

We just got an orange suncoral a few weeks ago from SWF. It is really cool!! It mostly comes out at night, but it does come out occaisionally during the day. It is gorgeous! The description said it would be 1-2 inches, but it is twice that big! Definately got our dollars worth! I will post a pic of it, but just realized that I dont have one of it open!

hey nissan whats a good carpet anemone?
hey Zac, I would suggest you do some intense research into this specimen. They grow extremely large and will eat any fish they can capture. I believe there is a thread up here somewhere that the posters carpet ate a large tang.

Coral Banded Shrimp(Stenopus hispidus) are also known to be aggressive. If they can capture it they will destroy it.
Do a search on killer coral banded shrimp and see what others experiences are out there.

I would get him out, so wanna risk him killin something else.. See if you can swap him for a Clear Shrimp, neat looking and very friendly
Also, your clam... i would prolly pove him onto the rocks, i have been told they dont like it on the sandbed.. Lets say, he digs himself into the sand and will try to attact to the glass on bottom, then you tri to move him you will rip off his foot an kill him

I would agree it is best in the long run IMO. You could just put all your livestock and lr and as much water as possible into a large rubbermaid container with the heater and powerhead.
Get out the cc and rinse and wipe down the inside of the tank so you don't have a nitrate problem. Then you could refill the tank a little with good seawater or premixed saltwater at the same sg as you tank water and slowly put back the lr, then the sand (maybe add some pods to start the seeding of the tank and then after the sand storm has died down, turn off the light and start to add back in your livestock using a specimen container, not a net. Just make sure it is not more than a 50% water change and that all parameters are the same such as temp, salinity, etc...
