I would say they are probably 6" long and getting close to 3" across the disc. They were about 2 1/4" across when they were born and they are male and female.

I would like to have 4-6 in the pond, 2 males and 3 or 4 females and who knows they might mate, but not a high probability though

I'm not sure which one cause i post on 2 others, the one is so strict many have left and alot are tired of their nonsence of lording over you they dont say much and will be leaving their, so if its that one you are talking about its slow anymore and some cant afford the hobby anymore.

Right now I have just a sump on the kiddie pool but when the pond is up and running there will be a DIY denitrator and I looking for either a large skimmer or as some suggest 2 smaller one because of the cost. Need to skim because I wont be doing as many water changes on that large of a system, but still some per week.

If you set up a nice sized fuge it would go a long way. 55 gallon with 8 inch sand bed full of cheato and rock. That would make the water pretty damn stable for a while. My 30g fuge keeps my 150 pristine. I went to go do a water change last week after about amonth went by. I did a water test. My trates didnt even blip the scale. Tested my 40 breeder with my eel. They were high did a change there.
