Well, i've been called out. I had a tank crash back in december, and never posted pics of what the tank looks like now.
unfortunately, it's pretty sunny where my tank is, so many things look washed out or the reflection screws with the pic, but here's some (suprisingly) decent shots of stuff...yes, i know it's not the cleanest in the world
just a few teases, i'll get some closer ups on photbucket tomorrow

green birdsnest in front, pink w/purple polyps upper left, and some teal paly's

purple tip frogspawn

I'd love to know what that red sorta powdery filmy algae is. it's not cyano, but showed up and has grown rapidly since i put an old frag rack in. the frag rack had dead coralline on it, and this stuff grew out of that coralline.

I have the same in my tank as of late and have no idea what it is. Its not cano, like you said and spreads very rapidly. I'm going to tag along an see if you get any replys.

Super nice! I noticed in the last picture..it looks like your tank is right next to a window...doesn't the light from the window cause problems with algae? I was always afraid to place my tank by a window.

actually, it's right next to a 7x6 slider. the sunlight is AWESOME on the tank, it brings out some nice colors, and i don't have very much more algae from it. the sun is basically only on the tank from about 630-715 at the end of the day starting now till about september. the real issue though for me is heat. before i changed out that door the tank would overheat quite a bit. and it would cool down due to the infiltration. but now, with a new door, it doesnt really affect it.

Nice! I like the galaxea, it's seems like they were popular a few years back, but I haven't seen one for sale in a while.

well, the darn things are so dangerous to other corals, their popularity is low. I had actually went in on an order with someone and this galaxea originally was about 6" long, 5" wide. but a small portion had broken off so i kept it. the galaxea is a good 6-7" away from any coral i care about hehe, although the xenia is starting to incroach on it.
