Whoh, soooo, some thoughts, you said 90 gallons, they tossed a bunch of info at you, but you need to think, what is going to go into my tank?
Types of coral dictate the lighting... I am not sure your experience, but judging from the questions you're asking, not much (no offense).
I think you should approach this differently, of course every tank is going to evolve as time goes on, but there are things that are standard pat for most tanks.
Sooo, think about your water filtration, first and foremost. You have a reef ready tank. You have a sump/fuge.
Let's talk that first.
Then let's talk biological filtration inside the tank, life rock, sand bed etc. and water circulation.
All that depends on a stocking list.
Once you've addressed those issues, then you can start talking lighting...
Also where are you at? most of the time heat is the issue not cold. Once you start submerging all those pumps, have lighting etc, those are all natural heaters...

yep i know i dont have much experience when it comes to coral or lighting or a big tank really.(for saltwater) ive had my nano tank (10 gal) for almost a year now. its fairly easy to maintain, ive had nothing die on me in there.
no offense taken, i know your trying to help.
ive got the live rock planned and set, along with the live sand and the skimmer. i dont know much about sumps, other than the basic stuff.
i know the lighting can wait and all that. i just sort of want to have everything i will need when i start the tank up. not having to add piece by piece of equipment.
i live in southern california, so the heat is a factor here. my house gets pretty toasty in the summer and i usually unplug the heaters.
but in the 2 months that it is cold, it gets pretty cold so i only use a tiny heater that regulates the temp at 78 in my nano. works pretty good. for the size.

so my tank size has changed a little, i walked into my somewhat local LFS and they guy had just purchased a whole tank system from a client and is going to sell my the whole setup for 700$
its a 150 gal, acrylic tank, with a sump and all the equipment included with it!
Its a great deal and im not passing up on this since a tank that size usually costs more!
