My coral banded shrimp molted, do i remove the old shell?

I woke up this morning and my coral banded shrimp molted. There is an exact replica of him in the back of the tank, but it is his old shell. Should i remove it?

Yeah. This is nothing you need to keep. They molt pretty often so get used to fishin' their skeletons out!

i just left mine in. it didnt seem to bother anything and i figured why move all my rock out of the way just to get something thats going to disintergrate in a month.
but that my $.02

I usually just leave mine in there. It's usually gone after a couple of days. I can't recall ever seeing it for more than 2 days in a row. Sure beats having to fish it out everytime it happens (depending on how many molting specimens you have, I guess). I actually wondered myself if there is any benefit or disadvantages to leaving it/removing it. Anyone know?
