My DSB is a mess

from rearranging my rock there are like little pieces of rock and debris and whatever all over my dsb, is this ok? should they be raked or siphond out? anything? ????

It can either be removed from very GENTLE siphoning, or you can simply leave it there and let your detrivores come along and clean it up. I would suggest leaving it and letting the cleanup crew take care of it.

Another option is to create a little "pod pile" in a back corner.

a cleanup crew will clean up little pebbles and stuff like that from my dsb?
also be aware my tank i just cycling i have no fish in it or cleanup crew to take care of it.

why run a UV light in reef system? Wont it kill all the little critters?

IMO, no matter how much you clean off the debris/pebbles off of your DSB, it will always be there eventually. Especially if you have a cleaner crew.
They will break off pieces from LR trying to find food and such.
I tried picking them up at first but I became lazy and basically accepted it.
But, its your choice.

I just did this today, I finally rearranged my rocks and I did what Bang guy said: took the pieces and made a "pod pile". Hey, I thought, I paid probably 30 cents or more for that tiny piece, I'm keeping it lol!
