Well I had a bird(looked like a crow but not as big) get inside our house before. Instead of opening the doors so it'll fly out, I decided to get the broom and chase and beat it to almost death before tossing it.

Oh no....POSITIVELY no poison, we have 2 dogs, 4 cats, a hamster that gets loose quite a bit, and a crawling baby. No way I would chance poison.
....and the traps are under the entertainment center and in the back of a closet that is tightly closed. Have to protect delicate little paws.

Pick up an electronic mouse scarer...thingy. Sorry, I can't think of the name of it off hand. You just plug it in and something about the sound that it makes keeps mice away. I used to get them this time of year in the kitchen. I have had this little gadget for awhile now and have not seen one since.
Cool idea....but won't it drive the hamster or other pets batty?

I don't blame you but rats are another story.
We used to have rats and we'd catch them and toss em into a stock pond still alive. And the old catfish would come up and take care of them....

Rats? In your house?

Yep, I didn't think about the hamster. LOL sorry Kelli. It doesn't bother my dogs and cats but I am sure it would bother the little fuzzy guy.

we had a siamese cat once, and we would hear all this scratching and grinding. So did out cat. And she would sit underneath the attik latter trap door meowing and meowing. Finally my dad said you wanna go up there and opened the door. She ran up the ladder. Two days later she came back to the door and started meowing. So we opened up the door and let her out. We never head scratching up there again...

My husband already put PB on the traps, and I'll have him attach them to something with a string. And thanks for sparing me the details.

no string is necessary if you face the trap trigger toward the wall, this way no matter which way Mickey approaches from you are sure to (sparing details) have a positive application of the trap bar, therefore bringing the situation to a quick end.

Do you want the ferret army or the terriers, both are more than willing to kill mice, the ferrets have experience on their side though

Seriously though, mice suck, never had them in the house but we had some at our store and they stole the rice and peanut butter off the traps every night, ended up having to use sticky traps which are terrible.
