I got a Kenya tree about 3 weeks ago and was doing good until one of its btanches fell off now where the branch was there is a white flaky looking place on the trunk. There is also 2 other white spots on the branches. the trunk isnt as thick as it used to be...It has constant flow on it and I feed my tank with KENT Strontium, Iodine, liquid calcium, essential elements and microvert. Does anyone have any Ideas on the white spots on my kenya tree could be??

I heard that kenya trees spread by dropping their branches...so that would be a good sign. Spots, flaky-thinning trunk

You say you are dosing your tank with Iodine, this can become a poison ...are you doing tests to make sure. Otherwise you may have a problem with iodine.
Never dose what you can't test for.

Maybe it's some kind of parasite. I have kenya trees but this has never happened to mine. It might be flat worms, or a salt burn. Do you have any stinging corals beside your kenya?

Exactly....(regarding dosing)
Just how much flow do you have on it anyway??

Meowzer...Kenya trees don't like direct water flow??? My whole tank is a fast moving water current.
They are not being beat to death but they are swaying in the water. Both crops are a fleshy color, like my xenia. Loopy said they were different colors when he traded them with me for equipment.
Am I doing anything wrong? They are open and look healthy. No dropping branches or anything. Here is a picture, xenia is in the far corner so you can see they are the same color.
I need some reassurance, If you say looks Okay, I will relax...otherwise

LOL I have a K4 on top of it, The Kenya is directly below it. When I say sway I mean sway but not bending over. I better move it. The xenia was bent over and started climbing up the rocks and multiplied as it went. You can see in the pic how close they are together.

Your kenya looks good. I was just saying my kenya doesn't like direct flow.

WOW! I read this as a question not as any statement on the amount of flow that it should have.
I don't believe any coral likes a power head pointing "directly on it". Flower is correct about them dropping branches to propagate.
Flower yours look fine, I would not move or change anything in regards to that coral.
Brue you should not be adding anything to your tank as far as dosing chemicals that you cannot or are not testing for. Water changes if done on a regular schedule will replenish most trace components without the need to dose. As we put more and more demanding coral in the tanks testing will show whether or not our water changes are keeping up with usage. Only then do we find that dosing may be needed.
Just my $0.02

In the direct flow of the power head is a huge orange fan sponge in a cave. The sponge can't be moved. I am rethinking moving the kenya tree. It's just that Loopy101 said one was green and the other ??? don't recall. Both trees are the same fleshy color of the Xenia...pinkish...could just be my lights.
The actinic blue lighting is along the outer edges of the rock where the kenya lives. Over the center of the rock are 2x 175 14000K MH bulbs. So lots of blue.
