My Mandarin just died

Well the title says it.....I thought it was resting on the PH
...and when I looked closer it was dead
Weird cause it has been fine...and very active too....:(
Took it out, examined it.....no bites, no marks, no signs of foul play

I have no time to check water.....I am getting ready to go do something with my grandchildren for a couple of hours
I'm not even what to check for since everyone else looks fine (then again so did the mandarin last night)

OHHHH...and it is the green one too.....Mine was the spotted one....I actually got it from the NOTSOLFS in Texas.....I wanted the green, he got me the wrong one, BUT I loved it anyway

WOW....it's upsetting when you lose something you have had for so long :( :(
I may order from SWF this weekend though...I even have some credits to use

Does anyone know about how long they live in home aquariums
This one even ate frozen foods

When we lost our 8 year old anthias, foxface, mandy and leopard wrasse it was very very sad.
Is this the tank the anthias went in?

NO, I did not qt the anthias.....they came in 2 shipments, and I still have one of them.....I also had received a red spotted sandperch and that is fine too in the 225G

One being fine doesn't mean the rest were. One fish dying doesn't mean they all are doomed. Especially if we are talking about worms and such (and anthias are very wormy) their poop could have worms that the pods lived in that mandarin ate.
I had a seahorse that died from secondary problems from trematodes (necropsy confirmed), the other 2 seahorses that I had necropsized, had trematodes but it did not cause their death. Why? Who knows.
Am I saying this is what caused it? No, definately not. But it's a thought with an unknown cause of death after recent additions and sebsequent massive die off.

OH...OK....So it's nothing I would ever be able to find out for sure though.....

You didn't recover all the bodies either, did you. Decaying bodies are a pod haven. He could have been munching off the pods and slurped up some infected anthias goo as well.
But no.... you'll never know.

I never recovered ANY
So could my sleeper banded bullet (sandsifter) be in trouble????
Just tested some basics
ammonia, trites and trates all 0.....ph 8.4
