Looks good...I would try to position that top rock a little better....it just doesn't look secure
if you want corals, forget the chocolate chip star, plus they need established tanks
For now, just test your water and keep track of the levels so you know when your spikes have occurred, and in a few weeks, you should be good to go

Hey guys
so its been a while since i posted anything i took a few pics

I acually broke one of my LR peices to make it more "flat" so ill be able to put some coral when i eventually get a light ( hopefully buying a light this week)

i also bought a Ocellarius Clown fish. I bought him when he is small about an inchish. I should have bought 2 when i had the chance bc all the Ocellarius are about double his size now.
i guess ill just have to look out for a baby one.

Horrible Pic but i really cant get a better one.
I just bought a Tiger Pistol Shrimp and a Watchman Goby today, Super excited bc they became friends within the hour of acclimation when they werent even in the same tank at the LFS. i guess i got lucky. So now they stick together. I couldnt geta pic of the WM goby buts hes justa little guy about 3/4 of the shrimps size hope fully he will grow quickly.
anyways thats all i have to update ill try to take better pics when i get a real light :p
thanks !

Thats a nice little set up you got there. I was thinking about doing a pistol shrimp and watchman combo too. By the way, your clean up crew is not too big so dont give anything away.

Hey guys,
i was able to buy 3 new corals! woot
a have a question though i was able to buy a "combo" coral with a toadstool and a devils hand on it. Now my question is how can i go about and break the rock safely to i can split the corals? The thrid coral i bought was afrog spawn. Its quite small so hopefully it will grow alot.

Hey guys,
just a small update.
i just bought a sandsifter starfish. (never see him great way to blow 20$ lol).
I moved around my rocks, pushed them against the back wall. Made more of a sandbed in the front of my tank. My devils hand leather is finnaly opening up ! took long enough lol, its grown alot since i got it. My hammer corals grown a bit i think. nothing really new with it.
On a sad note, i ended up tossing my toadstool coral. there were just to many things wrong with it and i think it was just dieing.
a plus, ive finnaly won the battle against cyano algea! woot only feed my fish every 2 days. though apparently you can never win with Sw tank. bc some plain green agea is starting to grow. ive bought 3 large snails to hopefully eat some of it. and im going to pick up an emerald crab for some hair algea. (any sugestions on what to do against the green agea?)
I was thinking about buying 2 more green cromis' to keep my single one company and one more clown( only problem is the clowns are all alot bigger then the one i own, will they fight? )
anyways here are some pics

are you guys able to find my watchman goby, pineapple???? hes hiding! lol

Hey guys,
i didnt want to make another thread so ill post my question here
over the last week ive been battling an algea bloom. its all over my tank glass. i scrape it off and it comes back wihtin hours! i was reading it is bc of my lighting ( which i cant turn off bc i have coral ) and bc of my water ( has to much phosphate).
i was looking into making a Aquaclear 70 Mod refuge and maybe some cheeto will help with this problem bc i read that the plants fight for the nutrients in the water and ushally beat out the algea.
But i figured today while i was lieing in bed that if im gonna try to redo my filters i might as well go all the way and make a sump. Does anyone know if its a good idea. my tanks only 20 gals. i was thinking a 10 gal tank for the sump.
only problem is i have no clue where to start i was planing on building it myself. the build of the sump looks simple enough i just need glass sheets and silicon. but i have no clue what to do from there. do i need to get 2 pumps on for intake and one for output?
please any input would be really helpful. i dont want to go blow $200 on somehitng ppl will say is pointless
Thanks a million

its very nice, as far as the sump is concerned i think a small pump is neccesary, search in google how to set up a sump to be certain. it'l help alort.
and you could add some cheato into the LR section in the sump. will help.
also, use your old lights to go over the cheato:D
with the clown. was abit anxious getting one by itself. but its not the end of the world. just wait till your LFS has a smaller one then yours, and it should be ok:D
be carful with the hermits and snails. the hermits may kill the snails for their shells.
looks nice tho:D.i think the toadstool way maybe gna get too big for the 20g, they can get up to 3 metres wide and a metre tall in the wild. big thingss
