Good news...
and bad news.....
....Good news first! Got the eel

Here he is in the bag...any name idea's???


Found himself a cave real fast! And started to protect it! (he dont know he is all alone yet
)

What's the bad news? Also when you acclimate an eel, how do you do it? I would think he would slither right out of a bucket, no?

Soooo whats the bad news? well I also got a cute little scooter for the 75gal , here he is

I will post more pics of him on my other thread , anyway he was doin fine in the 75 until Mr. CBS saw him! the CBS grabbed the scooter in one of his big claws ( I had NO IDEA this would happen
) so I get them apart and decide to put the CBS in the 24gal with Mr.Eel. As I catch him in the net he pulls away and both his big front claws (arms) come off in the net! He is now in the 24gal tank ,with no big claws....will he live? will he grow his arms back? should I keep him in the 24 or should I put him back in the 75 any suggestion's? I feel really bad that I tore his little (big) claws off

He'll grow them back. May take more than one molt but they will grow back. Provding the eel doesn't like Scampi first I guess!

Snowflakes are very hardy , years ago i actually cycled a tnak with one in there
I just hung him in the bag and added water a little at a time for about 30-40min. They grow pretty slow so I am hoping to keep him in there for 6-12 mo's
Well see how it go's. I am also going to put more LR in there from the 75 so the eel can have more caves to choose from.
I thought the eel might eat him eventually but I dont want him back in the 75 b/c i dont want him to eat the scooter.....I dont know what to do with him

Ya that might be the only choice
I really like him but he also picks on my watchman goby , but the watchman is 3x the size of the scooter so he can defend himself.

i like the scooters, but, honestly, i think my angel will prolly end up being my favorite in the tank, but, if my clowns end up looking like some i saw on another site, i would post the pic, but, i cant LOL they're jetblack, white tips, its incredible, aussie bred an raised black & white ocellaris, they're friggin gorgeous

Hey guys , I found the strangest looking creature in my tank! I took some pic I will post later. it is built into a rock and looks like a angry face with a round mouth and little spikes around the opening of the mouth! when I stick something in the tank it pulls back into the rock , then you can see the hole in the rock. It is CRAZY looking!!! It almost looks like a worm coming out but then you see what appears to be 2 eyes at the top and then that scary looking mouth....I think my tank needs a priest! On my way out the door so I cant download the pic's right now. I will do it later today....stay tuned

Just another pic of Mr.Eel , poor little guy. He ate allot of frozen Mysis shrimp last night , but a couple min after he attacked it he threw up a big chunk. I hope he kept some in his little tummy :) Maybe it was still too frozen for him , they were also kinda big so today I think I will thaw them real good and cut them in half. So what do you think of the evil thing?

Cant really tell it never comes out of the rock , that pic is of the "entrance to the hole it is in. So it never comes out farther then being flush with the opening
the whole circle around it ( the withish part) is part of it. when it pulls in you can just see the red rock color

Pretty scary huh? I dont even want to sleep with it in my house!!! looks like it is going to come alive a out of the tank
