OK nissan......nobody like a smart A*&!
I am a fan of stock chambers , so its bio-balls in the middle and the stock sponges in the left , heater and stock pump in the right...I know boring
but it works for me. PLEASE don't tell me the bio-balls are bad! been using them for years and LOVE them!

Looks like a good start. The tank doesn't look bad, just looks like you are just getting it started again. I like it and know you will bring it back. Good luck and don't forget to enjoy planning and restocking

well thank you for all your kind words and confidence.....now the pressure is on and I have to do something really cool with this tank
I am trying to think of something weird to put in it. Like something that don't get along with anything else. Like a mantis or something

Frogfish.
or a mantis would be cool too, but I think it is harder to keep a reef since the mantis will bury some frags. Where as the angler will just sit on them and wait.

Many saltwater aquarists keep stomatopods in captivity. These aquarists may play a role in understanding the mysteries of the mantis shrimp. However, mantis shrimp are considered pests by other hobbyists because they can be transported unwittingly in a load of rocks destined for an aquarium. Once inside the tank, they may feed on fish, corals, and smaller crustaceans. They are notoriously difficult to catch when established in a well-stocked tank

thanks for the 411 but after the part where it said NOT, reef safe the rest was ...well not needed

Yea Nissan I know about the evils of having a mantis , but like I said I am looking for something Diff. for a small tank. I have been hearing "clicks" in my 75 for months but have not found any bad guys yet
I know I have a pistol in the 75 I hope that's him I hear in there!

Due to the blizzard like conditions here today i did not make it to my Dr. Appt or to the cool LFS , but I did call around and it seems nobody has much stock because business is bad. Probably from the weather and this economy
so I know I will here allot of "stuff" about this decision ....but I have decided to get a small snowflake eel for now...I KNOW it will outgrow the tank! I also know that some people say they are not "reef safe" but actually they don't bother coral's just shrimp and some crabs , but like I said I will only keep him until he outgrows the tank then I will look into a mantis or frog fish. I am going to pick it up tomorrow...and its only 15.00! that helps too!

meh, forget the haters. As long as you monitor its health and make sure its happy i say go for it. And i know you will be responsible enough to give it up when you know you can no longer keep it.
Best of luck with that. I cant wait for pictures

Sounds great, there is someone in the nano section that has a beautiful reef with a swe. Forget his name but it was a sweet set-up, pvc buried under the sand. He also had a skull that went into the live rock into another pvc tube, that was his entrance. Good luck and post lots of pics. Will he be the only fish in the tank?

thanks Subie! Yes it will be the only guy in the tank , like I said just wanted something Diff. I know a eel is not "Diff." but the only thing I can find around here right now , I even checked SWF.com for a mantis but they are out of stock and my LFS wants to charge 60.00 for a mantis!!! can you believe that? 60.00 for something we usually flush when we find em in our reef tanks
