Hi bonita,
What kind of powerhead is that on the right? I like the size of it. Gives me some ideas. Thanks in advance dear.

Strong start. Nice tank for horses. When I set my tank up for horses, I waited about 4 mo. They did fine. You can add a couple clown gobies or neons, while you wait. There is a nice list of tank mates I posted on the seahorse forum. You can also add macros and get them established if you are going natural. Dont forget nice hitches for your horses.

It is a Rio 400. But it is just temp during cycle. I will set up Maxi jets on a wavemaker to give better flow at different times. Since it is a SH tank I will go with the 3 400's plus my sump return. I don't want it to strong on them, but I have water movement all through the tank.

Thanks bonita. Quick response, almost like a chat room.
Good night and good luck with the SH tank.

yes I have been looking for a few fake ones to use I like the sea fans how do these do. What size caves should I have? I will add more natrual corals and fade out the fake stuff out once my corals start taking off. I thought about clowns I have them in my Reef tank. I was wondering though if they decided to host something in the tank would they pick on the Horses?

small clowns are fine for a while, but an established pair would start picking. I would stick with small gobies.
shrooms, rics and zoos are fine for horse tanks, but dont give much to hitch too. Look at shaving brushes, red kelp, differant types of macros.
