Hey guys. Check out my new addition. My wife saw this and she wanted one in our tank. So since I'm such a nice guy I got it for her... :D

Very nice sponge!!!! Done any research on them? Are they hard to keep?
Yes, I did. Place in low light and the tank should be mature with no algea. Feed them with phytos or rotis. Medium to hard keeping.

incredible specimen. good luck with it.
keep in mind that sucker is a power feeder, it needs to eat alot, they generally dont last long in skimmed tanks. food availability isnt generally high enough even with regular feedings of phyto and zoo

I've got a little one, about 2.5 inches. I spot feed it when I feed the dendros. Mine seems to be a slow grower but its nice to see where it might get to long, long down the road.
Thanks for sharing.

Yes, it does look like once it's grown out. Where do you have it in the tank?

thats a sponge encrusted with a rare zoanthid species. hard to keep and harder to come by. VERY pretty!
