No its glass. I have two of these tanks and didnt pay attention to which one I used. This one has been used for a long time the other has not been at all. Its held cichlids that liked to pick up gravel and push it against the glass. And other reasons, looking at pictures I wish I had used the other one.

Ya, I used to have cichlids as well. They are crazy about moving the sand with their mouths. It's too bad about your tank, it looks so good. You could always set up the other one and transfer everything over.

If I had the room I would.
I am hoping my wife will let me set up a bigger tank in the living room one day. She likes this one but was unsure after the biocube/move to 10 gal episode. So the better this one looks the better chance I'll have at convincing her. She doesnt read these posts too often and happened to be reading the one you posted about the scratches.....Thanks for the help! She was like "there are a lot of scratches I didnt notice. Maybe we will have to set up the other one". Which moves it in the right direction.

The blennie has been sent to the basement in a kinda like QT. Not really a qt but it is now! Too bad I really like him, going to try and set up a real tank for him and maybe zoo fragging!

The blennie didnt survive the move.
I dont understand water params are good the nitrate lvls are higher but that shouldnt do it. I even drip acclimated him
. Why couldn't he just leave the clam alone.
Nitrates are somewhere 10-20 range not so high.

Awesome tank, I have a 20H gallon that Im working on, slowly. My 150Watt MH light that I had bought used died, so now Im looking at the sundial. Any complaints so far, you tank looks to be doing really well with it! I was curious though, I was hoping that this light will allow me to keep clams, so I was wondering how yours is doing.... But again great job, hopefully my tank will look as awesome as yours, will be checking in for hints!!!

The Crocea clam I got was under T5s when I got it . Clam is doing great. I do really like the sundial light but I want the look of MH. Really like the 14k look, so thats what I did today went out and got a 150 hqi/2x24T5s. Wow is all I can say! It came with a phonix 14k bulb. I'm not sure on the Actinics but they are more purple than the ones in the sundial, maybe 420 instead of 460?
Well Ill take some pics when I get so more time. Got some new zoos and a pair of fire fish
too! Have to break everything into the new light...or rather acclimate it all
.
