he hasent tried to escape i dont think he has a lid and i clamped it down, he does however, put is siphon on a hole in the lid and spit water 5 feet accross the room.

LOL...that would be funny....My Ray goes up and down the sides of the tank, and sometimes causes a tidal wave that will reach over to the couch...
SOOO HE has NOT tried to escape...good thing....I read somewhere that they are extremely smart, and will watch how you do things...
So are you saying the tank has a lid...and you clamped it down

yeah the lid is clamped down, with brackets
i watched a video in my marine class on how they will escape out of their tanks, crawl across the floor go into the feeding tank and eat the crabs and other stuff that the scientist use to feed them.
i am going to get a ray in the future when i get my reallllly big tank, can rays be kept with small fish?

yeah my cbs in my avatar, became a little snack too.
I had 2 cbs, 2 cleaners, a fire shrimp, and peppermints disappear....That is some EXPENSIVE food

I buy a cleaner shrimp when they have an extra special price on them cause they will last a few days, and I figure the fish will benefit from the few days of cleaning....I got one almost a month ago...and I STILL HAVE IT

It actually use to sleep on top of the ray
I think they have become buddies now
