BACK

I am new to this hobby almost a year - I see that you have all actinic bulbs - what are the uv super actinic, daylights are not required like a 10k or something like that, I have a 65 gallon reef just got ATI blue + and purple+ love the colors but I think my daylights are throwing the color off for me, thanks

i kinda dont get your question but ill try my best to answer it. im running all actinic bulbs for the reason i love the colors that come out. the uv super actinic im running gives like a white/ purple look so my tank doesnt look to blue at all. IMO i think the growth so far is pretty good yet again the tank is like a week to 2 weeks old. so ill let you know if the bulbs are worth it. but i gotta say the color in everything looks amazing

Thanks Nissan, yes you answered my question, I was typing my question at work and I thought i heard my boss around the corner. So the white bulbs are not necessary I love the colors as well, I was at a reef shop up here in Canada and the guy had an amazing cube (mostly sps) about the same size as yours but deeper, he even had some red bulbs. Look forward to seeing more from this thread, get us some more pictures, posters as well please.

i didnt say the white bulbs arent necessary, i just stated that i dont like the white bulbs cause im a blue guy more then the growth. the white bulbs give the growth of the corals. the blue is just to give it the colors more.
and the posters haha will do!

Wait What?

kidding henry lol

Lol its okay spanko, its all good. Now Nissan, I saw the original volcano reef, are you foing to have some actually coming out of the water too? You need a clown and call him squishy....er no waite..... oh ya... shark bait! hoohahaa that there would rock! Lol... as far as the girly posters, it would look nice as a back drop. No painting of nuthin, just tape it right on the back!

Okay.... I better let that go now or I'm ganna get in trouble.
