I love my shrimp too but they cause hell with feeding anemones. I only dont like mt CBS. he has taken of pieces of cleaner shrimp antennae, and he took off my mandarin's spine. He is goin down come winter break.

I'm not exactly sure how they spread. I know there is encrusting and branching, both of which I have. You can see new polyps popping up on the colony's all of the time, but I too see little miniature polyps all over my tank.
Anyway, here are some new ones I got for X-mas. I was looking for some reds, but they are pretty rare and hard to find. So I found some really dark orange ones. They are very pretty, not quite red, but obviously different from the normal orange. I got them yesterday. Most of them came out and ate last night, and overall they seem healthy. The pics don't do them justice.

those yellow ones are amazing... thats what i need i want some color... guess i will have to wait until everything stops dying... great pics...

WOW!!! Those are the fattest, happiest little suncoral I have ever seen, ecept in pics from nation geographic! giggle
You would be planning to propagate any of them????

I would love to hear the componets of your tank, lighting and such. i had sun corals in my 90 reef tank, but I think the halides were way to bright for them, they certainly didn't open up like yours.

Once an addict, always an addict. A friend of mine, contacted me just at thanksgiving~she was giving up her tank, everything, and she wanted me to take it; The only cost.....take good care of them she said!!!!!
