Ok. so lets think about this for a minute. Larger bubbles are easy to see and they rise to the surface fast. Tiny micro bubbles can sometimes be hard to see and actually remain suspended in the water column for quite a while. So perhaps it could still be micro bubbles making their way to the pump traveling along with the flow of things. Micro bubbles would be coming from the skimmer and not the intakes of the drains coming from the tank to the sump. Try some filter floss or filter pads in the bubble trap baffles just to test and see if that stops the issue. If it does then you know it's an issue with to fast of flow through the sump. If not then the problem has to be somewhere else. Something with the returns or return line itself. That would be my next logical step.
Maybe Corey, I am going to try a fee things that you and Shawn have suggested to see if that makes a difference I will keep everyone informed on how things go with it. I just cant stand the damn little bubbles in the tank.. lol

I have not got a skimmer in the sump yet so it can not be from a skimmer. What would you like a pic of the sump ? If you want a pic of the tank cant do anything until tomorrow when lights come back on and its is going to be hard to see the micro bubbles on a pic from a cell camera. LOl I tried getting some tonight but no go because you could not see what I am seeing in them .lol if you want to see a pic of what the sump looks like there are pictures of it on page 2 of this thread.

Afreind of mine had a similar problems with his build. One thing he found was one of the baffles was to high and the water had quite the drop to the return pump, and he just drilled some holes about an inch and a half down from the top of the last baffle. and two, he had a mega skimmer that was putting bubbles in his DT.

I thought you had a skimmer already for some reason. Well you could always try removing the third baffle on the bubble trap coming from the skimmer. That way all of the water would be traveling under the second baffles instead of having the one dropping over.
Although it might just be easier to add a valve on the return line and adjust it untill you see the problem go away.

There are a few tings I am going to try before I get into that whole mess of taking stuff out. lol. That just seems like a lot of work to do when I can correct it with a smaller pump. I just want to try somethings to keep the bigger pump in the tank.

Might have to work through the night to get it done......Might not make FedEx till early this coming week though.......I don't think I'll have enough dry time to get it shipped tomorrow.....
Curious....did you want it 4"x4"x10" inside or 4"x4"x10" on outside?

Another quick question???? Did you need it to be 4 sided or is it possible for it to be to sided and is it possible for you to silicone it tight in the corner of the sump?

Well if it was 2 sided I would have to drain the sump and dry it out then silicone it and let it dry then start the sump up again lol so I dunno what do you think is best?

Ok here you go Shawn:
Full sump shot:

Fuge Side of the Sump:

Skimmer side of the sump where the bubble tower would go:

Hope these are good enough and help.
