Can't really tell by the picture, but the first thing that comes to mind is some type of isopod. Can you get a close-up picture of it?

I'll try, if I can find it again. When It comes out it doesn't move fast. It moves like an astrea star. Are we thinking good or bad?

They are strict herbivores. Think of them as a slow moving VERY thorough snail. They really scour all algae off a rock.

They make a "home groove" for them selves and go back to that spot every night. This can be a problem if they choose a spot on an acrylic tank. They really scratch up the area on their home groove and can damage the tank. Usually they stock to the rocks and all is well.
