Try some calupera to get him to eat something. My naso would not eat anything but that for a couple of weeks. Now it eats everything.

The hydrometers you are using are totally inaccurate. You should throw them away. I'm serious. They are not even good enough to measure specific gravity under normal circumstances, let alone do effective hyposalinity. Fortunately, there doesn't appear to be an ich problem...so far.
With what you have invested in your systems, and you are obviously serious about this hobby, I would strongly recommend you get a refractometer. You can get them pretty cheap on ----. You won't regret it. However, if you do not get a refract, then do get a high quality glass hydrometer that is calibrated for the water temps that we keep our aquaria.
Since your fish is eating, be sure to soak his food in garlic.
Can you get a pic up?
Be sure to test your uncycled QT for ammonia and nitrite. Don't let the water go bad.

Keep him in there for at least 5 days after meds in hypo, then, if everything is ok, go ahead and begin bringing the water back to within normal perimeters.

Plum, I am so sorry about your fish. My blonde naso did the same thing. Then for some reason I lost almost everything else in the tank. So keep a good eye on the bunch. It took about a week after the naso passed.
