Need help on why I keep losing Naso Tangs
Currently have blue tang, maroon clown pair, flame hawk, schools of small yellow tangs 3, and flame angel, foxface, bicolor parrot. All my fish are doing fine and eating fine. This is now happened to me twice and doesn't seem to be affecting the other fish. This is the second naso tang, I have bought in 2 weeks, they each died after 2-3 days, all other new fish that I have added do fine. When I add the naso tang first, it eats fine for the first two days, then all of a sudden gets blotches on its body, not really ick, but spots, does anybody know why it is only affecting this fish.
Please help
100g tank, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, -h 8.2 salinity 1.015

Beth is 100% correct (as usual). It doesn't really matter what Tang you place in there, if it's low fish on the totem pole it's going to be stressed to death really quick.
I would expect you to start losing the other Tangs within the next couple of years as well. Sorry :(

I have had my yellow tangs, and blue tang in there with no problem, what do you suggest I add to the tank

About 6 more feet of length.
Sorry for the flippant answer but your current tangs are fine so far because they are probably small and immature. In a couple-few years they are going to become cramped and very stressed. That is the point where many hobbiests can't figure out why there fish are always sick or become mean, etc.

For once, Beth, you can't be right..My Naso is the only Tang in my tank. My Naso is going through the same problems. White Blotches, not Ich. Ate for 2 days and now hiding behind the LR at the bottom and not moving.

 I don't remember you asking Beth to give an opinion on your situation. How can she be wrong already??

i have found that it is normal for the spots, when 1st turning the lights on....other than that the fish is likely stressed for some reason. mine seem to thrive on a mixture i made up. formula2 with brine, diced frozen mysis, spirulina discs, mixed with some liquid vitamins.its almost like hes on speed and the colors have brightened up quite a bit on the naso as well as the other fish, foxface and flame angel in particular are just georgous.
good luck

When these animals exhibit white blotches they are under stress. Many contributors to stress. The list of stress contributors is quite long. Certainly, a Naso can exhibit these signs after two days and die form different contributors to stress...assuming this is what may have killed the naso(s)
