it is a problem that needs to be dealt with but shooting them as they cross the boarder illegally is worse than them being illegal aliens that's murder. not the answer some people really get carried away in thier own private idahos on this board. WOW.

My long term stance has and always will be...
Equip every border patrol agent/national guardsman, on the border, with a sniper rifle, crates upon crates of ammo and night vision capability.
Eventually, they'll stop coming.
Harsh, but my opinion.

While I don't support killing illegals, I do believe they all must be deported. If a bank robber pays income tax on his robbery money, does that qualify him for special treatment? Mexico's poor are Mexico's problem. We Americans, of any race, don't owe any one of them a damn thing. I will always ask you Libs, why don't do just admit your compassion is nothing more than a disguise for how badly you want 20 million more uneducated, welfare scrounging voters on the roles?

I think a show of force and relaxed rules about use of deadly force would help. I seriously doubt you could find more than a few Border agents or guardsmen that would even think about opening up of folks just sneaking in but they need to be allowed to shoot back and also shoot the people throwing rocks at them. One guy was hit in the head and had life threatening injuries from it.

I have a friend of mine that's somewhat new, Border Patrol (over a year - less than 2 years). Over 8 months worth of training (firearms, speaking and writing fluent Spanish, etc) and his first week on the job, had to have reconstructive surgery, from injuries.
It's ok for the illegals to wound/kill our Border Agents, but our Agents get scrutinized, when there's an incident involving illegals getting hurt...horse patootie!
Illegals, coming across the border will maim and kill anyone who stands in their way, for a better life...which I can understand...but when our Agents get reprimanded for retaliating, or defending themselves...I call bullsh*t.
It's to the point now, where I whole heartedly stand by previous statement...sniper rifles and open "rules of engagement".

Maybe we should get ALL the DISABLED people and unemployeed in this country and put them on the border to help stop illegals. They would get a paycheck and they would be a productive part of society and not milking the system.

Unemployed, sure, disabled no.....ever seen someone try to chase someone else while in a wheelchair trying to go through a field?

I like the enthusiasm
, but a cripple like me could only walk or sit for a 1/2(forget about running that hasn't happened in almost 6 years) before I was heading back to the hacienda. As far as shoot-to-kill, as much I as despise our country being invaded by Mexico, I simply cannot go along with that. I have looked into the eyes of men, women and children who are being starved and driven out of their country by their government and it is sad beyond words. If they are carrying drug packs, fire away. But I have helped them with water and food (still called BP) because they are people who are desperate and just doing what I probably would do in their position, if I thought I could get away with it as well. I wish the Mexican people would just quit blaming America for all their problems and fix their government and corrupt caste system so they don't need to come here.

Problem is it's getting too damned hard to tell who it's safe to give food and water too. That rancher who was shot was doing that.

Why chase, some radicals here just want to shoot them on sight. I think DISABLED are only disabled as they think. I know some "DISABLED" that collect SSI and disablility that can work. I see them clean their houses, go shopping, take care of fish tanks, and some just love to type on keyboards. They would make great border patrol people. Also they would be contributing to society and not wasting tax money of us hard working americans. Put them to work. IMO

Personally, I'll take a person willing to risk his like and walk across the desert for a 8 dollar an hour job, over a democrat who won't do anything but get their check and look for new baby daddies any day of the week...

Maybe we could just equip all of the disabled with motorized wheel chairs! Yeah...that would do the trick! We'd catch those dirty illegals, in no time!
I love it when people comment on things, that they haven't the slightest clue about and then try to justify their standings with rediculous comments.
You'd rather live next door to an illegal alien than a racist? I bet your point of view would change, if you and your husband both lost your jobs, because an illegal would do it cheaper.
