OneFlySi, you gotta be kiddin me! What ARE you smokin? helicopter and police in riot gear.....If OU doesn't have this type on campus not a real college. We have HUGE football games played here and even after Sept 11 we don't need that kind of security. Surely this is just for the tournament, you are telling me that the students at IU and the fans are so bad that ya'll need helicopters and riot gear just for games?????We add 100,000 people to this town any given game day and never need that kind of stuff. Traffic control yes riot control, no way. What kind of freaks are you guys??????? Now I'm even more proud to be a SOONER FAN!!!!

Well said! Yes, I can read and it does not require me slowing down. I understand their was not a riot, I just think the "fan" base their must be comprised of a bunch of drunken punks that want to tear some crap up.
We bring the Sears trophy home for a National Championship in Football and we don't need cops in riot gear.
It just sounds crazy to me.

you guys are either not in college yet, or well out of college. ok, many factors play into this. for one, when is the last time IU basketball has did anything above par? its been since '91 i believe. actually, throw in the fact when has any IU sports teams done well in the past 10 years?.......never. so the fans are pumped to actually have a team do well...nothing wrong with that is there? second point, you guys are from oklahoma. i'm from indiana....or basketball COUNTRY!! people here take this game a helluva lot more serious than any other state....bar none. did you forget who used to be IU's head coach? only the most contraversial coach ever....good ol' bobby. point made.
stop and think what your saying. your saying IU is "crazy" and a bunch of "drunk punks" when a freakin riot was never started. i'll say it once and i want you guys to read this slowly and many times...."IT WAS A PRECAUTION!" i think this was a good move especially since 9/11. at least they were ready for it. i would have hate to have seen the scene in oklahoma when all these fans came out and the cops were just back at the station sitting on their ass huh?
oh, and another thing that the fans are pumped about is that fact that we were not suppose to make it passed the second round....let alone to the final four. so chill out...this is all beside the point. we'll let the players speak for us

what about your campus...are you guys gonna walk in a single file and orderly fashion down the street, pick up all trash that others have littered, read your bibles to each other, and finish drinking your evians?

Well gosh OneFly guess you are just gonna have to settle with playing the champonship game, did ya'll riot when you lost? give those helicopters and riot police something to do?...and I guess us Sooners are just going to have to settle for being only 1 of 3 schools in NCAA history to have both girls and boys go to the final four in the same year.....oh well....no sad faces in Norman....we only get sad when our football team is not in the top 4 or 5 or well I mean not number 1. Hound congrats to your team!

it sure is funny though, i didn't see any replies the past two days about OU going down, but as soon as IU lost you sooners came outta the woodwork. guess you wanted to make sure they got beat so you wouldn't look to bad from running them gums about IU
man DAB, you ARE a sore loser. get over it, we 0wNed your sooners. it doesn't matter if we lost the title, maryland was the best team in the nation, so i give them their props. did you guys get to go to the championship game? huh? i can't hear you...huh? riiiiight.
and that's nice to hear about both of your teams....cause the ncaa tourney for women is just SOOOO popular. and for football, well, just like i said earlier. our state is more of a b-ball state....and okla, texas, etc. definetely enjoy their football. so i congratulate you on that!
as for the rioting...well, i couldn't make the trip last night a 40 minute drive to campus, a late game, lots of drinking, and having to be at work by 6 am kept me from making the journey. and i did see on the news some minor vandalization happened, but they said that happened the past 3 games and i never seen anything really going on.
just glad IU pulled out all those upsets, to bad they couldn't pull off another when it counted. good season though, i can't complain

Give it up to the Terps. They deserve it. It would have looked better for the Sooners if Indiana had won. You always want to lose to the eventual winner. That way you can say you lost to the best. That's just my opinion.

well, you did post on april 1 smartass, but AFTER IU lost. so for two days you never replied to OU losing....nor did any other OU fan for that matter
its cool, i just thought it was funny that this thread stayed back on page 5 for sunday and monday till i brought it back up. i'm guessing it wouldn't have been on page 5 if OU would've won huh? and i posted bright and early yesterday looking for OU fans, but no one ever responded....but then right after the game and all day today you OU fans sure are posting up a storm.....wierd
