It will be interesting to see the SEC next year with LSU, UGA, and UF. UGA has Auburn(away), Alabama, and LSU(away) next year. They also added ASU to their out of confrence schedule (GA Southern, GA Tech, and Central Mich.). It will be tuff, but Go Dawgs! and Moreno for heisman!

Geaux Tigers!
Still need a playoff, I would take USC or Georgia over LSU...Ohio St. would have lost by a lot more than that to either of those teams, they didn't belong.

Totally agree on the playoff system or even an "and 1" game, but with the Rose Bowl and others refusing to break from tradition I just don't see it happening. Just think of a UGA/USC Rose Bowl this year? There might have been an argument for co-champs after that game.

Who cares what you all think... OSU still has 2nd best record in last 7 years... just behind USC by a game . 1-2 in championship games in last 7 years... 5 BCS bowls.... Yea we lost... a lot of mistakes, turnovers, and a couple bad coaching decisions... not to mention it was a road game in a non-neutral stadium...
We will still have a top 5 recruiting class and be back in years to come!
Go Bucks

Well I hope this woke up all the voters and they stop moving Ohio St up in the polls for playing a weak schedule.
Year in and out this fraud team plays a soft schedule and somehow ends up in the title game just to get rolled by an SEC school. The next time Ohio St beats an SEC school in a bowl game will be the first time (0-9).
Oklahoma, West Virginia, USC, they all deserved to be there ahead of Ohio St. I doubt that I'll ever get the chance to see a true playoff system, so I'll take the plus 1 game for now. Hopefully USC has seen the light this year and the Pac 10 will stop opposing the plus 1 game - the Big 10 is the other conference that opposes it.

Ohio State might have a top recruitting class, but so does Texas, LSU, USC, UF, and UGA every year and now with Satan over in Alabama they will start bringing in top recruits again. Alabama pulled 12 of the top 100 from the South including the top 4 "athletes". I don't think Ohio State could have won against any of the other BCS schools this year except for UH and they were a fraud.

this game had very disappointing results. Ohio must be doing something right to make it to the Nat championship two years in a row...

you better be counting on more than those 3 teams next year. you all got my Gamecocks (who kept you out of the championship game this year) in Columbia. we return all 11 defensive starters, 8 of 11 offensive starters, and the kicker. barring major injuries like we had this year, we'll be competing for the SEC.
but yeah, on topic, Ohio State and the Big 10 suck.

OSU beat Michigan who beat Florida. Tennessee barely beat Wisconsin... SEC really needs to come back down to earth...
About OSU's schedule next year they head to USC, and TCU pretty tough road schedule next year. not too mention the nations number 5 recruiting class they'll be back! (plus they are only losing like 4 guys on d and like 2-3 on offense).

I am a O-STATE fan... I was a little upset, but after I thought about it...
THIS WAS A REBUILDING YEAR... No one had us in a BCS or even as Big Ten champs. Despite what all you may believe... we overachieved this year. We will be back year after year.

Absolutly Rylan, it was supposed to be a rebuilding year for you, OSU shouldn't have to apologize for being in the game, had WVU, USC, Georgia, LSU, OU or MU only lost one game, they would have been ahead of OSU because of OSU's weak schedule....They all had their chance...I am a USC fan and still think they would beat LSU on the field, but USC lost to Stanford, dosen't matter if Booty was hurt, they should have beaten Stanford if Pete Carroll played QB.
OSU at USC week 2 next year...Can't wait already

Florida finished 5th in the SEC, I would hardly consider beating a team that beat them a great accomplishment.
The SEC also went 7-2 in bowl games, 2-0 in BCS games, and have won 4 out of the 10 BCS title games - I don't think they have to come back down to earth anytime soon.
It's not that I don't like Ohio St, it's more that I don't like not having a playoff system. So it bugs me when a team that you know isn't good enough to win goes to the game. I mean did anyone think that Hawaii had any chance at all against Georgia? You watch enough college football and you just kind of know who is good and who isn't. I thought that Oregon was the best team in the country - but once they lost Dennis Dixon, they were all done. I think that USC is just as good as LSU and I would have loved to see them play.

Thats one thing about OSU... They will play a quality team on the road... So will USC. Do SEC teams do this? IMO SEC may not even be the top team in the country.

I didn't mean to affend Pontius. As long as yall have the old ball coach and keep those players in state like yall have been doing you scare me and every other SEC fan. As for SEC teams not scheduling out of confrence road games and being over rated. I would take a look at their schedules as a whole and then get back to me and if the Pac-10 is so great UGA heads to ASU next year. I will give you that this was a rebuilding year for Ohio, but the same can be said for UGA. They only started one O-lineman with any experience (true freshman at both tackles). We lost both of our senior tailbacks to injuries during the season and started a redshirt freshman for most games. Our QB was a sophmore. On D we only had one senior that started and played a true freshman at LB. Ohio State may only lose three guys on D, but if you look at last night they accounted for alot of your tackles.

The SEC has 12 teams - 9 of them went to a bowl game. That means that every single team in the conference played against a BCS team -some played against 2. Just because Ohio St. is finally playing a quality team on the road, I would hardly call them a scheduling powerhouse.
Like the SEC or not, they proved this year that they were the best conference in the country.

Ya but if you look at recent years we have always restocked all those positions. We have had top DL, LBS, DB-- first rounders in the last few drafts. And that will continue. I hope we get Pryor who is the best rated QB in the nation.

Try playing someone out of conference... it seems SEC is afraid to. We've been playing quality opponents. When you decide to play a better nonconference schedule that you can talk.
