might want to make sure the ph is right .maybe retest .i have never had mine close to that.you are ready for some fish and a cuc.i would wait a couple months for corals.unless tou want some shrooms they are pretty indestructable imo.i have a rock with two kinds on it probably 30+ on there.they have been moved to like 8 different tanks over the years.even polyps .i have alot of yellow polyps they are nice because the have movement in the waterflow.lps, sps ect. i would let the tank mature a bit

I agree that the pH is a little high. What time of day are you testing the pH. Trying testing morning, noon, night and see what your results are throughout the day...
I think you would be okay to start adding a few snails and hermit crabs.

Yes, I see the clowns too.
Get a CUC and post your parameters please.
Since you asked "What is next?" I'm going to reply with: Go read the new hobbyist section.

um if you plan on corals the starfish might be a problem.what kind are they and also i have never had a starfish but i believe they need a well established tank to survive.

yeah, that pH is way high... pH is expressed as a logarithmic scale, that is: the preferred pH is 8.4. if the pH rises to 8.5, it just got 10 times more alkaline. a jump from 8.4 to 8.6 is 100 times more alkaline, etc.. so if you retest your water and find that your pH really is 8.8, i would urge you to lower it slowly.
