Need an ID please

Just found this. Never see anything like it in my tank before.

chiton i think there called. usually ID'd by the 8 plates on there back if im not mistaken? most likely another harmless hitchiker.

Resembles a Chiton. Can't find anything that looks exactly like it. I just want to make sure before I put it back in the tank, that this isn't the creature depleting my Zoo population.

That is an awesome photo, how big is it? Bang Guy will probably know..it does resemble a chiton, but different.

Exactly... but different. It was more like a slug. It could change it's size. When I touched it, it would get small, maybe 1/2 inch. Then when it started to crawl it was a little over an inch long.

Chitons have 8 plates, this one has 8 plates. It's a Chiton.
