Good to hear that the unit has solved your micro bubble problem. Now that mine has been running for a while, not a day passes where I dont have to clean that thing out. Its not as bad as what yours will be, being that your tank is older, but it is still removing things that shouldnt be in there.

OK....Here is what I got after 5 days....It's a little wetter then I would like, not as smelly as the HURRICONE (LOL), and not very dark...BUT....it's pulling something I guess

I woke up last night, to a tank full of micro bubbles. My AquaC Remora Pro BROKE. The baffles came loose on the inside. Wrote the company, but it being so late, no response yet. They have great customer service though, when I contacted them in the past. One of the best I think.
I had pulled it out of the sump (Yes, I was running it hanging in the sump), and put it back on the DT. It wasn't pulling much skim mate, about 1/2" in a week. Figured it was because it was in the sump. I had to drain the sump, unhook the drain plumbing, move the sump forward, take part of the stand off, and move the tank away from the wall just to get it out. I cleaned all the equipment up. I changed the Rio 1400 I put on there back to the mag drive 3. I reinstalled the optional skimmer box on it as well. Then I passed out.
My rubber O ring broke, and it should be here any day.(Emailed them last week) So my skimmer cup is all the way down and has been for a while. When I woke up, tank full of bubbles. The inside right baffle had pulled away on the front and back about 4" down and the left baffle where the spray injector is had pulled away from the front, by a bunch. Phoned a fellow reefer to get some IPS Weld-on, and he had some. So got home and tried to reglue everything. I am letting it strengthen for a day or two.
I'll let you know if it worked or not. I'll let you know what AquaC has to say as well. Also, if you find it noisey, there are mods out there to quiet it down. Install some foam above the spray injector. For better performance you can upgrade the pump to a mag 5 or 7 as well.

I believe it was #4 as I borrowed some from a fellow reefer in a needle. Glad I didn't get pulled over that night! Put back in tank this morning, and pulled 3/4" wet skim dark green right within a couple hours. Might forget buying a new skimmer and shove it back down in the sump after I make the baffles.
Without the optional skimmer box, it sucks at getting the stuff off the surface, hence trying to figure out what skimmer I was going to buy, so I could get the baffles installed, so I could get my sump back on line.

Watch the sump carefully....Re gluing after they have been glued once at the same joint usually doesn't make a super strong bond.....Just test it and pound it hard before you give it the ok!!!!!!!

Are you kidding me? I am going to treat it like a fragile piece of glass sitting on my neck! Hence the importance of a new skimmer. For what I can fit it would be either a NWB-110 or Bubble Magus NAC6 or maybe something different. Just need to decide and BUY!
BTW my tank is running hot again. Ughhh. Starting to hate this.

What do you have running? Have you tried to isolate your components to see what is adding the heat to the tank?

It was the plastic inside the skimmer, that seperated the chambers from each other. So instead of the foam climbing the middle inside wall, it was going back to the spray injector area and right out into the return area and out the skimmer. I used some weld on 4 I beleive. The rubber had broke and was waiting on that to come in. With it at it's lowest skimming point I was getting 1/2" a week of dark skim mate. I have it back in the tank now, but up top till I finish my sump.
First it was running cold, then hot, and seems to be staying that way. I have the skimmer up top now, with the accessory box on it, so the mag is up there. I had moved one of the heaters up there as well, since it was running cold. There is NO surface agitation, as the return used to do that. I just need to spend lots of money and get a nice controller. BUT hey the skimmer is working good now. Got new O rings again, and it was skimming wet, green tea look to it. Filled it in a day. Lifted it up higher, was up about an inch already.
Oh, BTW, they wrote me back and said I could send it to them for repair. Don't know if it would have been free or not, but I had already glued it back together.
As for the heat, I have less room up top as well, no gaps between the lights anymore, added the heater that works right, I see the temp at 82.7 and see my little heater is running. Just need to break down and get a controller. Part might be I don't have any fans on any of the lights as well. There are many factors. But the part I don't understand is it could be 67 in here and the tank is 82. Just has to be the crappy heater, less surface agitation, which since my sump isn't running I am not surface skimming. So I have an oilly film on top now, Need to do some adjusting, just haven't had time right now.
