Need help ASAP with biocube

Okay so I set up my new biocube with the sand and water from my 55 gallon.
I took out everything from the back like Nissan says to in his fuge thread.
I plug in the pump and it sucks the water out from the back but never re-fills it so it is just back there sucking air. I turned it off - please help me!!!

turn off the filter first it can break it. check is the water high enough to get to the top RIGHT vent NOT the middle?

when u turn of the filter does it fill back up???

When I turn the filter off- it does fill back up.
Yes the water is at the right height on the right

hmm..if it fills back up idk did u try turning it back on and waiting.

SO in other words...your return is pumping the water back into tank faster than it is coming from the tank?????

when the sump fils up is the water lower than the drain

ok. did you leave the sponge there? what pump do you have there? take a pic of the back chambers

YESSSS my return is pumping it back in too fast.
When I looked into the back , the left and middle chamber are both basically empty and the right is still filled. I waited a few minutes and nothing happened. I then poured some of the tank water into the first two chambers to see and it just spits it back into the darn tank
I thought it was okay to take out all of the bioballs, sponge, and filter media???

is the water from the first chamber pouring into the middle chamber? if so then theres something there stopping it. you dont have the plastic false floors right? take a pic. it will help alot

The sponge was left there the first time and then I took it out- same thing.
I set up the pump, attached to the return , took the top floor out along with the sponge, bio balls and media and plugged it in

i think u have to leave in sponge though i dont see how that would make it suck out water faster

No water is pouring into the middle from the 1st
