Need help IDing a critter from LR

Last night after lights out I saw what looked like a worm free swimming in the tank. It was about an inch long and appeared to be brown in color. It was swimming very fast in the middle half of the tank. Any ideas what it could be. I will try and get a picture of it tonight.

Did it swim with a rapid side to side "wiggle" or up & down?

It moved side to side.

Sounds like the Epitoke (reproductive stage) of a Polychaete (Bristle Worm).
