Need Id

I have these tiny specs on the glass as far as I can see they are just a round white dot with snowflake outer tenticles 1/32" in size total. Maby 4 tenticals and they do not move on the glass. too small for pic.
Any ideas

Hydroids. Take a look in the thread Birdy sent and see if you can find it.

This is the best I could do! They look like a snow flake no bigger than a grain of sand. I looked through all of the info threads and it is not there.

The picture doesn't help much, but from your description I'd say hydroids also.

Hello,
I too have tiny white dots, but they are more noticable on the gray inlet tube and black cover for my circulating pump. There are some white specs on the corner of the glass near the inlet tube on the silicone area.
I had assumed that they were some form on excrement from the snails or urchin that I have as they are always hanging out in that area.
I have not looked closely to see if they have any 'snowflake' like attributes, but will do so right away, ( I need a magnifying glass, as I cant see that close.
