Need opinion on which tang

ok, well i want (a) tang(s) for my 90 gallon tank. it just completed its cycle and i dont plan on getting the tang until last i wanted a powder blue tang but if i wouldnt be able to get one of those could you guys give me opinions on what tang(s) i could get?

Try a Sailfin Tang they are always a great addition.

Let your new tank run for awhile after the cycle.
Do research on any fish you like. Never purchase whimsically. Patience and understanding are rewarded with longevity in this hobby.

Do what TimO said, and then research a Purple, Yellow, or Kole.

IMO, your tank isn't big enough for a sailfin, or Powder Blue. A purple tang is an excellent addition, and would fit in that size of tank.

There is no fish known to me that gets ich as easily as a powder blue....plenty of experienced folks avoid them, and most, if not all, new people should as well. I have a 90, and I basically don't keep tangs in it......yellows and purples would fit IMO, but I don't like them all that much. Just thought I would warn you about the powders.....

I agree with TimO tank needs to run for at least 6 month before thinking about tangs in your tank. I have a 100 gallon FO with a Sailfin Tang, Yellow Tang, Niger Trigger, Naso Tang, & Passer Angel. For the most part they all get along very well. Chicadee is right when I only had my Sailfin & Yellow Tang they both were a little shy but when I added the other fish they are much more active. GOOD LUCK
