It will not break the siphon if the airline tube comes up from the bottom. The water level in the tubing will always match the water level in the bucket. As long as the bucket is never empty there will be water in the tubing.

Ah, I get it. when the sump level goes down due to evap., the tubing in air, but on the float, will go down, siphoning more kalk from the bucket into the sump. It's the float and the direction the tubing is inserted that makes this work. Thanks for the clarification, Bang Guy! :jumping:

You could, but it would be pretty ugly. The opening of the carbuoy needs to be the same level as your tank water. Since the carbuoy is upside down, it will be pretty tall. You'll also need a good support for the whole thing as it will weigh 45 - 50 pounds.
