Need skimmer advice

i am setting up a 265 gallon tank FOWLR and I am not sure what skimmer to use I am leaning towards octopus or asm any input will help I got 700 to spend.thanks guys/gals

I just bought an external skimmer....a Reef Octopus Hurricone...It is a monster, BUT worth every penny I spent on it...which was about $600...it was on sale

the sump is a 125 gallon tank

So you have plenty of room in it then....I still recommend the Hurricone 2....They do have an internal one also
I did research the Super Reef Octopus XP2000 and XP3000.....The 3000 would be the better fit on a 265G tank though, and it also comes internal OR external

I just ordered the Reef Octopus Extreme Series EXT-350 for the 280g I'm setting up, I wanted an in sump skimmer with a high rating so thats what made my decision, plus the fact that i've only heard good things about octopus skimmers.

Does anyone know the difference if any from the regular octopus to the XP cone ones other that $160 for the 300 gal XP
