IMO the perfect goby for a tank this size is a pair of Green Banded Gobies Elacatinus multifasciatus
. A pair will spawn in our tanks and you will see the fry when it does happen. Beautiful little fish and a joy to have them spawn. A small tank with soft coral like this is the perfect environment for them.

Egg crate probably won't do it Carlos. Probably need a 1/4" mesh top.
Like what you have???? i would have to look for a step by step on how to do it. but if the mesh would hold them babies in, i guess i will have to build it.

There was a group buy on nano reef a while ago. It is made from 1/4" acrylic.
doesn't look like it would be too hard to make. Do a template of your tank by laying a still pc. of cardboard over it and tracing along the upper tank. Cut out the cardboard and us it as the template to transfer to your acrylic for cutting.
A handy cat like you should be able to pull it off!!
