yeah I took the barbed end bulkheads back to lfs and traded them for the slip joint ones from all glass. I dont know why they switched to the barbed ends. They seem like they are alot harder to work with.

that is 1/2 high density styrofoam from Lowes. Put it on to maybe help in smoothing out and pressure points or rough spots.
Tank watch---- I can only hope mine looks as good as yours. When I get it going I will post some more pics....thanks

yeah...so far it is all me.....LOL except for a few buddies to help me lift that thing into the hole. it up about 42" off the floor and it weighs 350 lbs so it was a little tricky. Other than that I have done it all by myself. Lots of work and lots of bud lights LOL
I am hoping to have water in it on monday, if all goes well. ANd I still have to trim the hole around the tank. But I have nothing but time so that's ok.
no new pics yet. havent touched it for a couple of days

yes I see that now that you mentioned it. Ihad to totally redo my floor as it was not strong enough for my 125. I had to add alot of joist supports and also level the entire room. Good work so far, keep it up.

shouldn't be too much of a cycle. I took 120 pounds of live rock and 80 pounds of live sand out of my 72 and added cured saltwater to fill the rest of the way. I was gonna keep the 72 up and going , but decided that a 180 was enuf work for me. :jumping:
