Yes, your skimmer is separate from your fuge (not ruge). I made a fuge that is fed from my skimmer primarily to reduce the micro bubbles from my corallife skimmer. I got to put some rubble LR in mine as well. Thanks looks good.

Thanks a lot. My skimmer made a ton of micro bubbles at first but they calmed down quickly. I get virtually none now.

Looks Awesome.
1 thing that I would suggest though, and take this for what its worth.
The Big rock that you have sitting in the sand bed. I would lift them off the sand bed. I say this due to the more rock surface that you have in the actual water, and not buried in the sand bed, the more that the live rock can filter for you. Also it is great to build caves and using some of them odd shape rocks that you more then likely have.
That is just my 2 cents.

You do realize that it is best to have your rock on the bottom...then add sand. The reason for this is this is so that "stuff" can not burrown under the rocks (if ON the sand) and cause avalanches

Not really sure how I would get that big rock off the sand bed that seems like it would be a huge pain now. I have a few caves in there. I may try to make a few more. Ill have to play around with it some more.

meowzer, you are correct, But you can use the small stuff to support the rock and then add the sand this will allow you to Lift the rock big rock with more surface area off the sand bed,. Also nothing in the tank will move the big rocks so you do not have to worry about avalanches. I actually have Fiji LR (And Tonga that you can no longer get) Holding up my main rocks so i have nice caverns in the rock, and also have more room to add stuff. I actually have a nice Bridge piece that normally would be used as a rock that would lay on the sand bed, But by lifting it up on the Fiji And Tonga that you can no longer get, I was able to make a bridge between 2 separate rock crops and it actually looks a lot better and is actually filtering more as I am using the full surface area rather then just the bottom and sides.
I'm just saying

Thanks.
I can already see the rock coloring up. I just want my cycle to be done.

I just placed an order for the Nano Koralia for my back left corner. Hopefully that will do the job and provide the bottom of the tank with some flow.

Hey guys just ran a couple tests and I'm looking for some help. Tank has been up 2.5 weeks maybe 3 weeks. Live rock was added about a week and a few days ago.
Here are my readings
PH: 8.2
Nitrite: 0.1
Ammonia: 0.25
Nitrate 20 ppm
Shouldn't my Nitrates pretty much be 0 right now? I thought once the levels of ammonia and nitrites came up as 0 that is when I tested for Nitrates. I just tested for the heck of it to see what I would get and got kind of worried about this reading. I also noticed today that I was starting to get a little hair algae growth on my glass and some brownish algae on my dry rock so I'm going to cut the lights back to just a couple hours a day. Should I do a water change to lower these Nitrates or just continue to let things go?

at this point NO....what is there to be worried about
just keep checking your levels...you will get some fluctuating readings ....

Good point. I'll just continue testing every other day. I'll hold off on testing Nitrates until my Ammonia/Nitrite disappear.

Id love to see instructions on how you did this ATO. Please share!

I bought an ATO system off an online vendor. I didnt want to DIY with something like this. I think it was around like 150. It works great though. Well worth the money.

What should I do about the brown algae forming on my rock? I already cut the lights down to just a few hours. Should I clean it off or just let my cleaning crew take care of it when I get one? Will Chaeto help combat it?
