It has a 12x optical zoom?I am looking into a new camera just to get a better zoom rather than 3x like mine has. I like the way your pics look so i may just got and check them out. Thanks
it actually has a 4X optical and 3X digital zoom but it works good for the money .... u have to play around with the settings on the camera when doing close ups i use the micro mode on auto when doing close ups and they turn out great...

That looks like an amazing fish, How long have you had him, The obvious question would be "you have no problems with him in the reef, . How about with inverts, probably would eat them huh?
ive had him about 6-8 months now im trying to remember..... hes a great fish very colorful and loves when people come up to the tank he will swim right in front of the glass.. i havent had any problems with him in my tank ive never seen him eat any invery or any fish smaller than him.... i feed him a mix of frozen shrimp/krill/squid and some formula 1 and 2 for coloration along with adding vitamins to the food.... i have some hermits a skunk cleaner and other small inverts and hes never touched a single one...

Your tank is beutiful, I have a question though. What advice would give to a beginner as to what the biggest thing you had to learn to get to where your tank is now? It seems like I am constantly battling problems. Things have been great for 6 8 months then last week my xenias started to die. The only water condition I have a tough time with is alk 7.5 dkh 2.5 meq/litre what do you do to control it? Thanks, the tank is awsome again.
wow i couldnt even imagine where to start.... id say the biggest thing is do your research first.... dont listen to the people at the LFS all the time .... ive bought many things from equipment to animals that were useless and died or didnt work due to non-experience and not researching first.... now i always look up products and get information on them and look at this board... i will still run into problems now and again as im sure every experienced reefer does.... its all about patience and doing your homework... when u buy something for your tank try to get the best product out there be it lighting or filtartion dont skimp on the important stuff save your money and buy the right product the first time.... i have been known to skimp and try to buy something that i knew probably wouldnt work in order to save a couple bucks but now i just buy the right stuff the first time.... as for your alk thats actually what natural seawater test at... you can boost it and it does help keep your PH up and from dropping but if ur alk is at 7.5 and your Ph is fine then u really dont have anything to worry about.... you could get it a little higher to prevent a Ph drop if you would like the extra security.... as for me my alk is at 12dkh and ph is at 8.3 i do a daily dosing of B-ionic parts one and two for my alk and calcium... i do 25ml's of each seems to keep them both stable.... im going to get a doser one day and a calcium reactor but thats when i get my bigger tank.... but the key to a healthy tank is consistent water parameters no big changes its all about getting in a routine of cleaning and water changes and such.... good luck and i hope i gave u a lil help
