Nice, glad to see you got some pompom. Looks good. That hippo will get huge you know. Mine has grown to six inches in two years.

YEP i got my pompom lol found a store selling 2 stalks for 20 bucks so i took it. i have cut it four times so far in the last 3 weeks and now have 8 stalks started. i planb to cut that into 16 next week. pompom is a great coral to frag and very easy to sell local
i figure i will wait till the hippo is 2-3 inches and then put him in the 125. For right now hes less then an inch so the 75 is fine IMO

your tank is so beautiful! ...i've gotten a few ideas before for my tank from yours...hopefully i can pull it off! ... i LOVE your big pink coral...what is that called?

ahh ok. that is a large toadstool leather. very easy to care for and IMO beautiful. does best in med-high lighting and med-high current. but can addapt well to some lower light levels but i would not recommend it. it is the same coral as the little one right under it and the one on the far right bottom corner. the little ones are both babys from the larger one. as it moved along it just leaves those behind. it is also a very easy coral to frag. grab a razor slice a piece off and glue it or place it on the rock you want. works everytime.

we do have MH lighting but everything in this tank can be kept with pc or vho.
we only recently got the MH and i will say things grow and look better but over all everything grew and did great with only pc lights.
keep in mind we had HIGH pc lighting 6x96 watts.
we removed a few of the pc and put in a 250 HQI mh
we have less watts now but due to better light penatration from the mh we can have less watts yet still better lighting.

pom pom are in pick number 3. the little hand will open and close really fast. very cool coral however some dont like it becaseu it grows VERY fast and can take oevr a system if not careful
